About Me

I grew up in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide with a large family of cousins around me. This is where my second nature of caring for children began. This led to a career as an educator, supporting children in the early education setting for over 15 years. My passion for working with children introduced me to the world of sensory play, which led to sensory play becoming a part of my philosophy.

As someone with firsthand experience navigating the world through a neurodiverse lens, I know how important it is to feel understood and accepted — not just accommodated. My role isn’t to “fix” anyone. It’s to support, empower, and adapt — so that each person can thrive on their own terms.

I have worked as a disability support worker supporting various participants in the community with Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia, Stroke and Dysphagia - to name a few. I found this very rewarding and gained first-hand life experience supporting people with complex support needs.

I am a mum to my two gorgeous sons and a wife to my husband for over 12 years. My maternal nature extends to our cat, Calix, dog, Pumpkin, and bearded dragon, Blaze. I am an avid animal lover and have rescued and fostered many animals (too many to list here).

In my spare time, my family and I love to go camping in our camper trailer around SA. I love taking in the peacefulness of the outdoors and admiring our beautiful wildlife.

As well as camping, I am an avid hobbyist enjoying many facets of craft, sewing and scrapbooking. I enjoy baking and cooking for my loved ones. I enjoy a gentle walk around the local duck pond, feeding the ducks as I go, taking in a breath of fresh air and reconnecting with nature.

I’m passionate about supporting people to thrive. With lived experience of neurodiversity, my gentle maternal nature and years working as an educator and disability support worker, I bring empathy, understanding, and practical knowledge to help participants access the supports they need to build confidence, creativity, and independence.

With lived experience of neurodiversity, I bring both empathy and understanding to the people I work with. My work focuses on helping participants access supports that encourage sensory regulation, creativity, and engagement, including sensory-friendly therapies and play-based learning.
